My teaching education was at Michigan Technological University and I taught in schools in the U.S. for twenty-four years. My formal education was in Math, Science, and Engineering and most of my teaching experience in the U.S. was teaching math and science in schools. For the past ten years, I have been teaching English in Moscow. Also, I have studied several languages during my lifetime including Russian and I believe in being a life-long learner. I have also completed TESOL training and have a TESOL certificate from ACTDEC one of the highest accrediting agencies for teaching English as a second language.
I love teaching and helping students to be successful, not just in learning a new language but in achieving their life goals. I’ve been working in education most of my life and I believe that education is one of the most worthwhile human endeavors for people of all ages. Not only does education expand your world, it gives you the tools you need to be successful and the means to help others to live better lives. Learning a new language is both difficult and fun and is an endeavor that takes a long time with constant effort. I have great joy in helping students to grow in their knowledge and use of the English language and helping them to see a brighter future by realizing their life goals through second language acquisition.
